DED

David Dawson

David Dawson knows how things work. An award-winning journalist in Virginia, New York and Indiana, David has seen the media from the inside. As former Press Officer to Governor Evan Bayh, David has seen the public-policy process from the inside.

This is what he believes: You cannot succeed without public support. This applies equally to those seeking political action as well as those executing public policy. David also believes that simple messages work best. That the public has power. That in a small agency, every client is a big client. That the media can be handled best through respect, not fear.

David oversees all client work at Executive Media and actively manages several accounts.

David is a Sagamore of the Wabash, Treasurer of the Indianapolis Press Club Foundation and a member of the White River State Park Development Commission.

GUY

Guy Johnson

Guy Johnson works with Executive Media clients by helping them find their strongest, most logical arguments and then laying out a plan so the public will notice.

As a broadcast journalist, Guy experienced first-hand the power of well-presented ideas in telling stories that may influence policy. Powerful communicators, he notes, are not always well-known. But their ideas stay with people long after the broadcast.

As press secretary for Lt. Governor John Mutz, Guy helped shape messages that sharpened public attention on the state's future. He has guided public relations for a variety of organizations in banking, manufacturing, government, health, aging and numerous other fields. He always looks for their most interesting and compelling stories as vehicles to achieve the greatest impact.

Among his professional awards, Guy is most proud of his 2005 citation from Lutheran Child & Family Services of Indiana and Kentucky for a statewide PBS story about the organization. The award is entitled "Das Geflugelte Wort," which is German for "the winged word."

Guy is dedicated to helping Executive Media clients find wings for their words.
