The bigger body type and smaller page size of the
Indianapolis Star, introduced Feb. 27, means
one thing to the managers of the newspaper and
something else to the readers. To be sure, it means a
lot to our clients and anyone else who wants to be
recognized by media. It means we have to be more
relevant, more timely and more succinct to reach
newspaper readers.

I look forward to my refund check from the
now-cancelled Times Select. This is either a case of
the content being so valuable that advertisers wanted
open access or simply strong resistance to paid
subscriptions. So far paid access hasn't seemed to
hurt the Wall Street Journal.
